Storely is in beta. The registered details of the company that operates Storely will be added here once registration is complete. We'll email account owners before any material change to this page.
1Who we are
Storely is an AI support assistant for online stores. It answers store customers in Instagram, WhatsApp and other channels, using the store's Shopify data and the knowledge the store provides.
This policy explains what personal data Storely handles, why, and what you can do about it. It covers two groups of people: merchants and their team members who use Storely ("you"), and the customers who message those stores ("store customers").
2What we collect
From you, when you use Storely:
- Account details: your name, email address and a scrambled form of your password (we never store the password itself).
- Workspace details: your store's name, language, time zone, working hours, team members and their roles, and the settings you choose for the AI.
- Knowledge you add: policies, answers to common questions and instructions for the AI.
- Security records: which device signed in (browser type), sign-in sessions, and a log of important actions in the workspace, such as who changed a setting.
- Network address (IP address), used only to limit repeated sign-in and password-reset attempts.
From the stores you connect:
- Shopify: when a reply needs it, Storely reads orders, shipments, products and stock from your store. We don't keep a copy of your catalog or orders; we read them at the moment they are needed.
- Messaging channels: the messages store customers send and the replies sent to them, with the customer's name or handle as the channel provides it.
3How we use it
We use this data only to run Storely for you:
- to answer store customers on your behalf, prepare drafts for your team, and hand conversations to a person when needed;
- to check that a store customer asking about an order is the person who placed it, by emailing them a one-time code;
- to show your team the inbox, notifications and reports;
- to send account emails, such as invitations, password resets and important service notices;
- to keep accounts secure and investigate problems.
We don't sell personal data, don't show ads, and don't use your data or your customers' messages to train AI models.
4Your customers' data
When a store customer messages a store that uses Storely, the store decides what happens with that conversation. Storely processes the conversation on the store's behalf and following its settings.
If you are a store customer, the store you wrote to is responsible for telling you how it handles your data. You can ask the store, or write to us, to see or delete your conversation; we'll work with the store to do it.
Before Storely shares details of a specific order, it asks the customer to confirm with a code sent to the email on the order. The code is stored only in scrambled form and expires after 15 minutes.
6How long we keep it
- Your account and workspace: for as long as the account is open.
- Conversations: for as long as the workspace exists, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Sign-in sessions: they end after 14 days without use, or when you sign out.
- Network addresses used to limit sign-in attempts: deleted after 24 hours.
- Verification codes: expire after 15 minutes.
- When you remove Storely from Shopify, the connection to your store is closed. When Shopify tells us a store or a customer must be erased, we remove the link between conversations and that store's customer records.
After an account is closed, we delete its data within 30 days, except what we must keep by law, such as invoices.
8Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and send you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong;
- delete your data;
- stop or limit a particular use of it.
You can change most account and workspace details yourself in Settings. For anything else, write to support [at] askstorely.com. We answer within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority; in Israel this is the Privacy Protection Authority.
9Deleting your data
To delete your account and everything in it, email support [at] askstorely.com from the address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my data". We'll confirm the request and delete the data within 30 days.
To delete a conversation as a store customer, including one in Instagram, Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp, write to the store or to support [at] askstorely.com with the store's name and the channel and name you wrote from. We'll delete it within 30 days and confirm.
10How we protect it
- Data is encrypted on the way between your browser and Storely.
- Access keys to your Shopify store are stored encrypted.
- Passwords, sign-in links and verification codes are stored only in scrambled form.
- Team members see only what their role allows, and important actions are recorded in the workspace log.
- The AI cannot refund, cancel or change orders on its own. These actions wait for approval by a person on your team.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we'll tell you without undue delay.
11Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. For material changes, we email account owners in advance.
